Lee and Erica met in downtown Iowa City at Brother’s Bar. Erica was attending the University of Iowa. She later moved to Chicago to pursue her career. Long distance relationships can be tough but these two made it work! Lee later moved to the City and they now live in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago (my favorite part of the city!) Rapid Creek Cidery is ONE of my very favorite wedding venues in the Iowa City/Eastern Iowa area. I mean, a little bit of rustic, lots of gorgeous trees and a ceremony site with lots of large trees. Plus their staff is PHENOMENAL! This wedding had some of the best vendors in the industry as well and I always know when they are involved the day will be beyond gorgeous!

Starting at HotelVetro in downtown Iowa City works perfectly due to their central location, gorgeous clean and modern rooms for getting ready in with so much natural light and of course the pedmall area around the hotel for shooting.

Erica’s vision was simplistic beauty for throughout the day with a focus on the people and their experience throughout the wedding day as well. I would say Hydrangea Bloom nailed the florals for Erica’s vision with all of the greenery and white florals.
